Embedded Software Engineer

Full time position in Trento, Italy

KMB lab Srl is a growing IoT startup that develops new generation of communication and tracking solutions that solve real-world problems in various industries. KMB lab is looking for a talented embedded software engineer to help us to bring our new ideas and applications into life.


  • Experience in bare-metal and real-time software development for embedded systems
  • C/C++ programming experience in IAR, TI CCS, GCC
  • Knowledge of ARM architectures (Cortex family)
  • Knowledge of networking protocols MQTT, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP
  • Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy 4.0/4.1 stack
  • Understanding of basic principles of schematics and PCB design
  • Debugging skills and experience with Jtag
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python) under Windows and Linux
  • Working knowledge with lab test equipment oscilloscopes, spectrum/signal analyzers


  • Prior experience with the JAVA programming language of at least 2 years
  • Understanding of the microservices architecture
  • Experience with JAX-RS: Java API for RESTful Web Services
  • Experience with software version control tools (Git, etc.)
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform products for simplifying/speeding up the backend development process: Authentication, Google App Engine, Google Cloud Compute, Google Cloud Functions, Cloud Pub/Sub, Google Cloud Storage, Cloud Datastore, Firebase Realtime Database, BigQuery, Cloud IOT, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, etc.
